Musicians
To the musicians who would like to be a part of experiencing God in an orchestra like this and sharing your gifts and your love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with others, I'd like to welcome you. I want you to know that we have already been in prayer for you because God has burdened our hearts with a need to pray for those whom He will bring.
It's a wonderful thing to completely lose yourself in the presence of God. We have experienced a movement of the Holy Spirit upon us while playing that has taken us, the music and the listeners into the very throne room of God. It's not us doing it, it's Him. As we gather together and pray and we begin to sense a unity of the Spirit binding us together for His purposes and then it's like we just bow ourselves out and bow Him in. God wants our submission. Not just in our playing but in our daily life and our walk with Him. He wants it because He has a plan for our lives and we often try to “help Him out” and usually just get in His way. The goal of this orchestra is to share our love of God with each other and our audiences and to share in the experience of complete abandonment of self to Him, and go with Him where He leads us. But the wonderful thing that we have learned is that when the music stops our intimacy with God doesn't end. Our intimacy with God is not created by the music. It's in our complete surrender to Him. As we abandon ourselves to Him and He fills us with Himself we are always in His presence. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. Our Father has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that we will ever need in the heavenly places in Christ. And by God's great love for us we are seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father the moment we receive Christ. For by grace you have been saved by faith. As we learn to walk in that grace we learn how to appropriate the power of heaven into every part of our lives because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
This orchestra is a unique opportunity to play with other professional Christian musicians in an environment where we are not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes it. Please pray about whether God might want you to participate in this orchestra and if He leads you to respond we look forward to hearing from you.
